A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect tonight (7 p.m.) until noon Saturday for frigid wind chills well below zero and near-record cold.

A swath of 10 to 14 inches of snow blanketed central Ohio, with a few locally heavier totals in the southwest, with up to 17 inches at Miamisburg, south of Dayton.

A major winter storm system will bring accumulating snow to this weekend to all of Ohio and surrounding states.

A clipper storm will bring a period of light snow Friday, with accumulations up to an inch. This will pave the way for an arctic cold front to cross Ohio early in the weekend, accompanied by a blast of frigid air.
