The suspect is charged with felonious assault, but police said additional charges are pending.

A Columbus man was indicted on one count of murder after allegedly shaking his 6-month-old niece, causing severe brain injury.

Police said investigators found that the shooting victim was involved in an argument with the suspect before the shooting.

According to Columbus City Attorney Zach Klein's office, the city secured a court order to board up the property located at 1885 Sullivant Ave.

The court will decide who keeps the dog after the case ends.

The verdict ends a murder trial that began on Nov. 5.

The two teens have been released from police custody. Their next court appearance is Monday, Nov. 10.

Richard Lindgren will be eligible for parole after 21 years.

According to the Bexley Police Department, 22-year-old Jimmy Wilson Jr., of Norcross, Georgia, was arrested in Gwinnett, Georgia.

The juvenile was arrested on Oct. 14 on unrelated charges, according to police.

The teens were charged with involuntary manslaughter and abuse of a corpse.
