On Monday, a federal judge blocked the Trump administration from ending temporary protections that have allowed roughly 350,000 Haitians to live and work in the U.S.
The union, representing bus drivers, mechanics, custodians, cooks, secretaries and aides, notified the district last week of its intent to strike on Monday, Feb. 9.
The 90-day cancellation window applies to nearly 1,000 consumers statewide. Ohio AG Dave Yost says the contracts may carry significant future financial consequences.
